Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering your child for Camp Alegria programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not complete the registration process.

2. Registration and Enrollment

Registration is not complete until:

  • All required forms have been submitted and accepted
  • Payment has been received in full or a payment plan has been arranged
  • You have received a confirmation email from Camp Alegria

Camp Alegria reserves the right to refuse enrollment or continued participation to any camper at its sole discretion.

3. Payment Terms

Payment Due: Full payment is due at the time of enrollment unless a payment plan has been arranged with Camp Alegria.

Reservation Fee: A non-refundable $100 reservation fee per child, per session is required to hold your child's spot.

Payment Plans: Payment plans may be available upon request. Please contact us to discuss installment payment arrangements.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • 14+ days before camp: Full refund (minus the $100 non-refundable reservation fee)
  • 7-13 days before camp: 50% refund (minus the $100 non-refundable reservation fee)
  • Less than 7 days before camp: No refund
  • After camp starts: No refund for any remaining days

Medical emergencies will be considered on a case-by-case basis with appropriate documentation.

5. Health and Safety

Parents/guardians must:

  • Provide accurate and complete health information during registration
  • Notify Camp Alegria immediately of any changes to their child's health status
  • Keep their child home if they are sick or showing symptoms of illness
  • Provide any necessary medications with proper documentation and instructions
  • Ensure emergency contact information is current and accurate

6. Allergies and Dietary Restrictions

Parents/guardians are responsible for informing Camp Alegria of all allergies and dietary restrictions. While we take every precaution to accommodate allergies, Camp Alegria cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

7. Drop-off and Pick-up

Authorized Pick-up: Children will only be released to individuals listed on the registration form. Photo ID may be required.

Late Pick-up: A late fee may be charged for pick-ups after the designated time. Repeated late pick-ups may result in dismissal from the program.

Communication: Parents must notify Camp Alegria in advance if their child will arrive late or need to leave early.

8. Behavior and Conduct

Campers are expected to:

  • Treat staff, other campers, and property with respect
  • Follow all camp rules and instructions from staff
  • Participate in activities in a safe and appropriate manner

Camp Alegria reserves the right to dismiss any camper whose behavior is disruptive, dangerous, or inappropriate without refund.

9. Personal Belongings

Camp Alegria is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings. We recommend labeling all items with your child's name.

10. Program Changes

Camp Alegria reserves the right to modify activities, schedules, and staff assignments as needed. In the event of camp cancellation by Camp Alegria, a full refund will be provided.

11. Communication

By registering, you consent to receive communications from Camp Alegria via email, phone, and text message regarding your child's enrollment, camp updates, and related information.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon.

Liability Waiver and Release

Liability Waiver and Release

Important Notice

Please read this document carefully. By signing this waiver, you are giving up certain legal rights, including the right to sue.

Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in Camp Alegria programs involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Physical activities such as sports, games, dance, and movement exercises
  • Cooking and food preparation activities involving heat sources, sharp utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Art activities involving various materials and tools
  • Outdoor activities and potential exposure to weather conditions
  • Interaction with other children and adults
  • Transportation to and from camp activities (if applicable)
  • Allergic reactions despite precautions taken

I acknowledge that these activities carry inherent risks of injury, illness, or property damage, and I voluntarily assume all such risks on behalf of my child.

Release and Waiver of Liability

In consideration of my child being permitted to participate in Camp Alegria programs, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Camp Alegria, Casita Azul Education Collective, their owners, officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, and representatives (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by my child while participating in camp activities, or while on camp premises or using camp equipment and facilities.

Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any loss, liability, damage, or costs, including attorney's fees, that they may incur due to my child's participation in camp activities, whether caused by my child's negligence or otherwise.

Medical Authorization

In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize Camp Alegria staff to:

  • Administer basic first aid
  • Contact emergency medical services (911)
  • Transport my child to the nearest medical facility if necessary
  • Consent to emergency medical treatment on my behalf if I cannot be reached

I understand that I am responsible for all costs associated with any medical treatment provided to my child.

Health Representations

I certify that:

  • My child is in good health and physically able to participate in camp activities
  • I have disclosed all known medical conditions, allergies, and special needs
  • I will notify Camp Alegria immediately of any changes to my child's health status
  • I will not send my child to camp if they are sick or showing symptoms of illness

Permission for Activities

I grant permission for my child to participate in all camp activities, including but not limited to cooking, art, music, sports, outdoor activities, and field trips (if applicable). I understand that I will be notified in advance of any off-site activities.

Sunscreen and Insect Repellent

I authorize Camp Alegria staff to apply sunscreen and/or insect repellent to my child as needed during outdoor activities. I understand that I should provide these items if my child requires a specific brand due to allergies or sensitivities.

Severability

If any portion of this waiver is found to be unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.

Acknowledgment

I acknowledge that I have read this Liability Waiver and Release in its entirety, understand its contents, and agree to be bound by its terms. I am signing this document voluntarily and of my own free will.

I understand that this waiver is binding on myself, my child, and our heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.

Governing Law

This Liability Waiver and Release shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
