About This Consent
Camp Alegría loves to capture the joy and excitement of camp activities! This consent form explains how we may use photos and videos of your child. You have the option to grant or deny consent during registration.
Purpose of Media Collection
Camp Alegría captures photos and videos during camp activities for the following purposes:
- Sharing camp memories with families
- Documenting camp activities and achievements
- Marketing and promotional materials for Camp Alegría
- Social media content (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
- Website content and online presence
- Newsletters and email communications
- Print materials such as brochures and flyers
Types of Media
This consent applies to:
- Photographs (digital and print)
- Videos and video recordings
- Audio recordings
- Live streams (if applicable)
- Any other media formats
Consent Options
During registration, you will have the opportunity to select one of the following options:
Option 1: Full Consent
I grant permission for Camp Alegría to photograph, video record, and use images of my child for all purposes listed above, including social media, marketing, and promotional materials.
Option 2: Limited Consent (Internal Use Only)
I grant permission for Camp Alegría to photograph and video record my child for internal documentation and sharing with enrolled families only. Images will NOT be used on social media, marketing materials, or public platforms.
Option 3: No Consent
I do NOT grant permission for Camp Alegría to photograph or video record my child. I understand that staff will make reasonable efforts to exclude my child from photos and videos.
How We Protect Your Child's Privacy
Camp Alegría takes the following measures to protect your child's privacy:
- We will never publish your child's full name alongside their photo without explicit permission
- We maintain a record of consent preferences and honor them
- Staff are trained to respect media consent preferences
- Photos are stored securely and access is limited to authorized personnel
- We do not sell or share photos with third parties for commercial purposes unrelated to Camp Alegría
Social Media Guidelines
If you grant full consent, your child's image may appear on:
- Camp Alegría's official Facebook page
- Camp Alegría's official Instagram account
- Camp Alegría's official website
- Partner organization websites (Casita Azul Education Collective, Cocinarte)
- Email newsletters and communications
Duration of Consent
This consent remains in effect until revoked in writing. Images captured during your child's enrollment may continue to be used after they leave the program unless you request their removal.
Changing Your Consent
You may change or revoke your consent at any time by contacting Camp Alegría in writing. Please note:
- Changes will take effect within 5 business days of receipt
- We cannot guarantee removal of images already published online, but we will make reasonable efforts to do so
- Print materials already in circulation cannot be recalled
No Compensation
I understand that no compensation, financial or otherwise, will be provided for the use of my child's image or likeness.
