About This Release
Camp Alegria uses social media to share the joy of camp with our community. This release explains how we may share photos and content featuring your child on our social media platforms.
Authorization for Social Media Use
By granting social media consent during registration, you authorize Camp Alegria to use photographs, video recordings, and/or audio recordings of your child on our official social media accounts and online platforms.
Platforms Covered
This release covers use on the following platforms:
- Facebook (Camp Alegria official page)
- Instagram (Camp Alegria official account)
- Camp Alegria website (campalegria.org)
- Casita Azul Education Collective website and social media
- Cocinarte partner platforms
- YouTube (if applicable)
- Email newsletters and marketing communications
- Any future official Camp Alegria social media accounts
Types of Content
Content that may be shared includes:
- Group activity photos
- Individual candid photos during camp activities
- Short video clips of camp activities
- Camp highlight reels
- Testimonial-style content (with additional permission)
- Artwork or projects created by campers
Privacy Protections
No Full Names Published
We will never publish your child's full name alongside their photo on social media without explicit additional permission.
No Location Tagging
We do not tag specific locations in posts featuring individual campers.
Moderated Comments
Comments on our social media posts are monitored and moderated for safety.
Secure Storage
Original photos and videos are stored securely with limited access to authorized staff only.
Release Terms
By granting this release, you understand and agree that:
- Camp Alegria may use the images/videos without compensation to you or your child
- You release Camp Alegria from any claims arising from the use of the images/videos
- Images may be edited, cropped, or enhanced for quality purposes
- Once posted, content may be shared by others and cannot be fully controlled
- This release does not obligate Camp Alegria to use any images
Duration of Release
This release remains in effect until revoked in writing. Images posted during your child's enrollment may remain on social media platforms after they leave the program unless you request their removal.
Revoking Consent
You may revoke this social media release at any time by:
- Submitting a written request to campalegria@casitaazulpdx.org
- Updating your consent preferences in your parent portal
- Contacting camp administration directly
Please note: We will make reasonable efforts to remove content from our accounts, but we cannot guarantee removal of content that has already been shared by third parties or cached by search engines.
Your Choice
Social media consent is optional. You may choose "Limited Consent" or "No Consent" during registration if you prefer your child's image not appear on social media. This will not affect your child's enrollment or camp experience.
